De eerste namen van Female Metal Voices Fest 2011 zijn gekend. De jaarlijkse hoogdag voor Female fronted metalbands hoeft nauwlijks nog verdere uitleg. In 2011 zal het populaire festival al aan haar negende editie toe zijn. Deze keer zal het festival niet 2 maar 3 dagen duren, van 21 tot 23 oktober wederom in de Oktoberhallen in Wieze.

Ticketprijzen zijn er nog niet, maar ondanks dat het festival slechts enkele maanden geleden is geweest zijn er nu al een hele reeks bands bevestigd die hebben toegezegd op volgende editie.

Jullie kunnen alvast uitkijken naar: Nenheim, Echoterra,  Benedictum, Draconian, Midnattsol, Hanging doll, Visions of atlantis, Deadlock, Amaranthe, Trail of tears, Leaves Eyes, Stream of passion en Therion.

Dat is al een meer dan gemiddeld goede line-up die doet verlangen naar meer! Ik wacht alvast in spanning.

In ander nieuws kondigd FMVF aan dat ze gaat samenwerken met 2 grote organisaties in Engeland en Amerika, nl. FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES FESTIVAL (FOTV) en SONIC CATHEDRAL.

"Belgium-based, METAL FEMALE VOICES FESTIVAL (MFVF) and US-based FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES FESTIVAL (FOTV) along with SONIC CATHEDRAL announce a mutual support of each others efforts and joint promotion between events designed to bridge and grow support for female-fronted metal groups in Europe and the US. All three organizations feel it necessary to collaborate together to promote the incredible talent that exists around the world in this metal genre. Fans hoping to attend both festivals benefit immediately by enjoying free entry to either festival when they present their ticket stub from the other festival (official rules posted soon on the festivals' websites)."
