After losing a metal legend 2 weeks ago. We now have to report with regret that David Bowie passed away yesterday at the age of 69. Only last Friday he released a new album called Black Star, and announced a new tour. I remember listening to a radio station giving away tickets to a big fan. She said she was overjoyed because she has never seen him live.
His last performance has been at a New York Charity in 2006. And Black Star has been very well recieved by music magazines around the world.
Bowie's big breakthrough was 1972's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.
David has also tried his fame as an Actor in movies such as Nicolas Roeg's The Man Who Fell to Earth in 1976, Just a Gigolo (1978), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) and The Elephant Man on Broadway.
