On the occasion of their newest record ‘Rust & Bone’, we got the chance to interview Darren Moore from Irish death doom veterans Mourning Beloveth.
The year has only just started and Relapse has already unveiled one of doom’s highlight for 2016: Lycus from Oakland already delivered a excellent debut 2 years ago with ‘Tempest’, but ‘Chasms’ is set to surpass that in every way. We got hold of their drummer Trevor Deschryhver to say some words about their take on funeral doom.
The Japanese label Weird Truth has a knack for finding obscure, but original doom metal. Amongst others they’ve released albums for Profetus, Funeralium and Mournful Congregation. Once and a while they don’t need to like so far like in the superb Funeral Moth or on their latest discovery Lifeblood. Darkview tried to find out what runs through the veins of this newcomers.
Summoning are an epic black metal band from Austria, formed in 1993 by Silenius and Protector.
They released 7 full albums, 2 EP's and a few old Demo's so far and they produce epic, atmospheric, dark and beautiful black metal using lots of synths, drums and guitars.
